If you had “winter holiday in Kosovo” on your 2026 travel bingo card, go ahead and collect your winnings. Let’s be entirely honest: most budget flight announcements are incredibly boring. Usually, it is just another low-cost carrier adding a third daily flight to Alicante or shuffling slots around Mallorca.
But every now and then, we get a route map update that actually makes you pause, look at a map, and think, “Huh, maybe I should actually go there.”
That is precisely what is happening with easyJet’s latest winter schedule shakeup.
According to the official announcement, the budget airline is launching three new regional connections, highlighted by the highly anticipated relaunch of direct flights from London Luton to Pristina, Kosovo.
Starting December 7, 2026, easyJet will run thrice-weekly flights (Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays) to the Balkan destination, with one-way fares starting at a remarkably reasonable £43.99.

Why Pristina, though? Frankly, I believe it is a brilliant move. While traditional Western European ski resorts are busy price-gouging travelers for a mediocre fondue, the Balkan region offers stunning mountain scenery, incredibly deep cultural history, and a cost of living that doesn’t require a second mortgage.
It is an untapped market for casual western tourists, and a massive convenience win for the Kosovar diaspora living in and around London.
But the expansion isn’t just about Eastern Europe. The airline is also carving out some highly specific niches elsewhere:
- Bristol to Strasbourg: Launching November 20 (just in time for the legendary Christmas markets), running twice-weekly on Mondays and Fridays from £49.99. easyJet will be the only carrier offering a direct link here.
- Belfast International to Aberdeen: Starting January 4, 2027, connecting two historic maritime hub cities twice a week with rock-bottom fares starting at just £18.99.
According to Kevin Doyle, easyJet’s UK Country Manager, these new routes are designed to dramatically improve regional connectivity without forcing everyone to trek down to Heathrow or Gatwick.
For those who prefer to keep things simple, the airline’s holiday wing—easyJet holidays—is also rolling out package deals to Strasbourg, Belfast, and Aberdeen, offering flight-and-hotel bundles starting at £268 per person.
If you want to book or check schedules, you can reach out directly via their press and customer contact channels.
Ultimately, this is a win for anyone who is thoroughly exhausted by the same old weekend city breaks. Whether you want to explore the rugged mountains of Kosovo or sip mulled wine in Strasbourg, the barrier to entry has just gotten a whole lot lower.
Just make sure to pack a proper winter coat—the North Sea winds in Aberdeen are no joke in January.
