Super Meat Boy Forever is Epic Games Free Game of The Week

Super Meat Boy Forever is free on the Epic Games Store until February 29, 2024, at 11 am(exactly 2024-02-29T16:00:00.000Z).

Originally planned by Team Meat as a mobile-only version of Super Meat BoySuper Meat Boy Forever was gradually developed into a full-fledged sequel featuring its new auto-runner control scheme and randomly generated levels.

The game is sold on Epic Games Store for $7.99 compared to its $19.99 value on Steam and is only available for Windows PCs on the Epic Game Store.

The challenge of Super Meat Boy returns in Super Meat Boy Forever! Levels are brutal and death is inevitable. Players will run, jump, punch and kick their way through familiar places and new worlds all while enjoying a story truly meant for the big screen.

Super Meat Boy Forever has an aggregate rating of 4.7 out of 5 from its Open Critic Rating. On Steam the game has an aggregate rating of 6/10 from over 1,127 reviews.

Edmund McMillen and programmer Tommy Refenes established Team Meat, an independent game production company, with the intent that they would never utilize a third-party publisher.

Team Meat released the title in phases. The game was released on December 23, 2020, for the Switch and PC, and released on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X on April 16, 2021. Mobile versions were released on April 20, 2023. It received mixed reviews from critics and was followed by a spinoff, Dr. Fetus’ Mean Meat Machine.
