Kingston, Jamaica, July 14, 2026 — Paper dividend cheques are officially on borrowed time over at Seprod Limited.
In an official communication sent out to investors from Chief Financial Officer and Corporate Secretary Damion Dodd, the Kingston-headquartered manufacturing and distribution giant confirmed it is permanently dropping paper cheques.
Beginning January 1, 2027, every dividend payout will be disbursed purely through direct electronic funds transfer into shareholders’ personal bank accounts.
Frankly, if you are still waiting around your physical mailbox for corporate yield distributions, this update is your clear cue to register digital banking details right now.

The operational shift is being executed in direct partnership with the company’s registrar and paying agent, the Jamaica Central Securities Depository Limited (JCSD).
According to the company’s official notice, eliminating physical cheques removes classic headaches like stolen mail, lost documents, forged signatures, and cumbersome trips to local bank branches just to deposit small payout receipts. Instead, money hits investor accounts on the exact distribution payment date—clean, trackable, and environmentally friendly.
Getting set up for direct deposit doesn’t require a mountain of paper forms either. Shareholders can complete account wiring instructions online by logging into the JCSD Client Portal.
Alternatively, investors who prefer dealing with their broker can fill out the standard JCSD Investor Instruction form available on the main Jamaica Stock Exchange web portal and submit it directly to their broker or to the JCSD staff.
Here are the core details shareholders need to keep on their radar:
- Cutoff Timeline: The paper cheque transition officially takes effect on January 1, 2027. Seprod strongly urges investors to submit direct deposit details well ahead of the deadline to avoid interrupted payments.
- Support & Queries: Shareholders seeking account verification can call the JCSD registrar at 1(876)967-3271 or reach out directly by email at jcsdrs@jamstockex.com.
- Corporate Leadership: Executive decisions for the conglomerate—headquartered at 3 Felix Fox Boulevard in Kingston—remain led by Chairman P.B. Scott and Chief Executive Officer R.R. Pandohie.

For a listed firm of Seprod’s scale, trimming paper processing overhead is a pragmatic operational step. Will this force other lagging issuers across the regional market to finally ditch physical cheque processing altogether? It certainly sets a firm precedent for modern corporate administration in the Caribbean.
