Victory Marine’s Subsidiary Dunn & Groux Launches GUTSI Across Six Major U.S. Markets

From New York bodegas to Giant Food Stores, the GUTSI™ rollout marks a high-stakes transition from development to aggressive commercial execution

Must Try

Los Angeles, June 23, 2026 — If you want to launch a new beverage brand in 2026, you are entering a literal meat grinder. The functional beverage space—prebiotic sodas, mineral waters, adaptogenic elixirs—is incredibly crowded.

Every influencer with a decent following has a canned drink startup. But here is the dirty little secret of the beverage industry: your liquid doesn’t actually matter if you can’t get it onto a truck, into a warehouse, and onto a retail shelf. Most emerging brands fail not because their product tastes bad, but because they get absolutely strangled by the logistics of third-party distribution.

Victory Marine Holdings Corp. (OTC: VMHG), through its wholly owned subsidiary Dunn & Groux Beverage Holdings, Inc. (DGBH), is trying to bypass this bottleneck entirely. Today, the company announced the activation of its proprietary wellness brand, GUTSI™, across six major U.S. markets.

But the real story isn’t just the product rollout; it’s the physical infrastructure backing it up. Dunn & Groux is building out its own Direct Store Distribution (DSD) operations, essentially acting as both the creator and the delivery guy.

The Logistics Battle: DSD vs. Traditional Brokers

To understand why this move is highly unusual for a micro-cap player, you have to look at how drinks usually get to stores.

Distribution MetricTraditional Beverage Broker ModelDunn & Groux DSD Platform
Route ControlRelies on third-party distributors who favor massive legacy conglomerates.Direct control over routes, warehouse infrastructure, and in-store merchandising.
Brand FocusNew brands get lost in massive distributor portfolios.Proprietary brands (GUTSI™) are prioritized alongside select legacy partners.
In-Store ExecutionSlow, inconsistent, and highly dependent on store clerks.Managed directly by dedicated, company-owned regional teams.
Revenue StreamSingle-source (product sales only).Multi-source (product sales + distribution fees for third-party brands).

By owning the actual routes, Dunn & Groux isn’t just hoping a regional distributor pays attention to them. They literally own the keys to the kingdom.

In Southern California and Arizona, their Groux Distribution Group subsidiary operates a 15,000-square-foot facility in Paramount and a 5,000-square-foot facility in Tempe, respectively.

These hubs are targeting placement across 2,500 to 3,000 retail locations by the end of 2026.

And mind you, they aren’t just filling those trucks with their own GUTSI™ prebiotic sodas. They are building route density—and securing crucial retailer relationships—by distributing heavy-hitter legacy brands.

We are talking about household names like AriZona® Beverages, Crystal Geyser®, and RedCon1®. It is a brilliant, highly pragmatic Trojan horse strategy. If a store manager relies on you to bring them their high-volume AriZona tea, they are infinitely more likely to give your new prebiotic soda a prime spot on the shelf.

GUTSI™ Products Now Flowing Through New York, Giant Food Stores, Parts of the Midwest, Florida, California and Arizona as Commercial Execution Accelerates Across the Company’s Distribution Platform

Outside of their company-owned Western hubs, DGBH is activating a web of strategic partnerships to cover the rest of the country.

In the New York metro area, they’ve partnered with Gotham and Preferred Distribution.

In the Mid-Atlantic, they’ve secured placement in 192 Giant Food Stores through Lead Off Distribution.

Meanwhile, an exclusive partnership with Mahaska Distributing—one of the largest DSD players in the Midwest—will push the brand into heartland markets, complemented by a Florida push through Culture Wellness.

“Our objective has always been larger than a single product,” Robert J. Groux, CEO of Victory Marine Holdings and DGBH, stated in the announcement. He is right to focus on the unglamorous plumbing of the business. “While other emerging beverage brands are waiting for distributor relationships to develop, we own our routes… We are not building this company on promises. We are building it on execution.”

To keep up with this sudden geolocational explosion, the company’s production schedule is working overtime. They are launching a new PET-bottled Functional Mineral Hydration line, scheduling additional prebiotic soda runs, and preparing to debut a functional gummy platform later this fall.

They have even secured beer, wine, and spirits licensing in California to lay the groundwork for future alcohol distribution.

Is it a high-risk, capital-heavy strategy? Absolutely. Truck fleets and warehouse leases are not cheap, and OTC-traded companies often face steep uphill climbs to fund this level of scaling. But in a landscape where traditional brand-building is a crapshoot, betting on the unglamorous world of regional logistics might just be the smartest play on the board.

You can track the company’s retail footprint and product updates directly via Dunn & Groux Beverage Holdings or checkout the flagship brand at GUTSI.
