Global, February 22, 2026 – In a surprising turn for the world of data analytics and spreadsheets, Rows.com, a platform that aimed to revolutionize how users interact with business data, has announced its acquisition by Superhuman.
The news, shared by co-founders Humberto Ayres Pereira and Torben Schulz, marks the end of an era for Rows.com as a standalone product, which will be gradually sunset over the next three months, fully winding down on May 31, 2026.
This move by Superhuman isn’t just a routine corporate takeover—it’s a strategic integration. And for the 2.2 million people who relied on Rows, it now means figuring out what tools they’ll use next.
Since its inception in 2017, Rows is a platform designed to make working with data simple, fast, and reliable. It built a reputation for making it easier to import, analyze, and share business data.
Its impact is undeniable: over 2.2 million people used Rows to execute more than 17 billion spreadsheet functions, import data 8.3 billion times, and run over 800,000 AI Analyst prompts. It was a tool that brought “modern computing skills to spreadsheet users,” a mission its founders are “incredibly proud” of.
The decision to join Superhuman (a connected AI productivity suite that brings together products like Grammarly, Mail, Coda, and Go) stems from a deep resonance with Superhuman’s mission to “unlock the superhuman potential in everyone.”
Rows’ founders believe their deep technical expertise in data integrations, visualization, and AI systems built to turn raw data into clear answers will be better applied on a broader scale within Superhuman’s ecosystem.
Specifically, their focus will shift to strengthening Coda’s capabilities for data-driven teams. Coda (an all-in-one collaboration space within Superhuman) is where Rows’ innovations are expected to live on.
While the strategic rationale for the acquisition appears sound for Superhuman, the gradual sunsetting of the Rows.com product will be a significant event for its dedicated user base. Current customers are promised detailed emails and support to ensure a smooth transition, but the reality is a familiar tool will disappear.
This reflects a common pattern in the tech world: innovative standalone products often get absorbed into larger ecosystems, sometimes at the expense of their original identity.
Humberto and Torben expressed gratitude to their customers, team, investors, and partners, acknowledging the close of a chapter while expressing excitement for the future.
For the 2.2 million users who relied on Rows.com, this acquisition presents both an opportunity to explore the broader Superhuman suite, particularly Coda, and a bittersweet farewell to a product that, for nine years, made working with data a little simpler, faster, and more reliable.
