After captivating audiences on Steam and Nintendo Switch, Peglin, the unique roguelike pachinko game developed by Red Nexus Games, is making its way to PlayStation and Xbox consoles.
The announcement comes from Spanish indie game publisher BlitWorks Games, confirming a May 1st launch for PlayStation 4/5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
Peglin throws players into a world where they must reclaim the Peglins’ peaceful village, ravaged by an evil dragon. Armed with a collection of “pebbles,” players navigate challenging levels, battling enemies and bosses by strategically bouncing orbs across the screen in classic pachinko style.
The game cleverly blends the luck-based mechanics of pachinko with the strategic depth of a roguelike and deck-building game.
The anouncement highlights Peglin’s replayability. Each run offers a unique experience, thanks to a diverse array of levels, orbs, enemies, relics, encounters, and characters to unlock. Players can build their “pebble deck,” carefully choosing upgrades and new orbs to create powerful combinations.
For those seeking an extra challenge, Peglin features increasing difficulty levels, up to “Cruciball 20,” unlocked after completing successful runs.
Since its initial release, Peglin has received content updates, introducing new bosses, enemies, battles, relics, and orbs, alongside improved balancing adjustments. The game is praised for its engaging gameplay loop that is both relaxing and engaging.
Players take turns battling waves of enemies, deciding which to attack first, upgrading pebbles, and preparing for the final boss of each stage.
Peglin will be available on PlayStation and Xbox for $19.99 USD / €19.99 Euros.
