One Drop has announced that it has acquired the assets and intellectual property of Sano Intelligence, Inc which includes Sano’s continuous glucose sensing platform. This deal means that One Drop will now own all of Sanso’s asset and several Sano team members will be joining One Drop.

What’s One Drop? One Drop is a Digital Health company with a focus on global transforming the lives of people with diabetes and chronic conditions via the power of mobile computing and data science.

Its platform has allowed individuals, employers, insurers and health care providers to access evidence-based and affordable offers. This achieved through its proprietary machine learning, advanced AI and personal health coaching which also promotes positive behavioural changes and outcomes.

What’s Sano? Sano is a continuous glucose sensing platform, developed back in the 2010’s.

What’s Next? One Drop intends to continue Sano’s comprehensive multi-sensorial solutions. This means it will continue its efforts to bring personalized, adaptive, integrated health solutions to people in real-time via your mobile phones.

“Sano and One Drop have a shared vision of transforming traditional healthcare into proactive, preventative self-care,” said Sano CEO and founder, Ashwin Pushpala. “We are excited to combine our sensor and device expertise with the strength of One Drop’s data-driven predictive capabilities and user-centered design to create a comprehensive collision avoidance system for health and wellness.”

It will leverage Sano’s silicon-sensing production infrastructure, to design, produce, and commercialize a painless, silicon-based continuous health sensing platform for use across multiple conditions.

One Drop is the perfect acquirer of Sanos given the company has to date collected over 9 billion longitudinal health data points across 75 biomarkers from nearly 2.5 million users. It plans to add thousands of new data points per user per day, thereby strengthening the machine learning models behind One Drop’s predictive and adaptive support capabilities across multiple conditions.

An added perfect fit is the fact that One Drop continues to grow its diabetes solution to offer data-driven tools and personalized support for people living with type 1 diabetes, type 2 diabetes, gestational diabetes, prediabetes, high blood pressure, high cholesterol, or any combination of these conditions.
