KYOTO, Japan – Tanuki fans, rejoice! publishers CRITICAL REFLEX and indie developer Denkiworks have unveiled a new gameplay trailer for TANUKI: Pon’s Summer at the ID@Xbox Showcase during IGN Fan Fest.
The trailer provides a new glimpse into Pon’s summer adventures as a part-time mailman and a full-time BMX expert in a charming Japanese village. If that isn’t a strange mix of experiences, then there’s no doubt that fun awaits with this title. Here is a glimpse of the trailer:

Summer in the village isn’t all work and no play. Players can participate in a variety of fun activities, such as baseball, sumo, taiko drumming, and more.
An intuitive, emoji-based dialogue system allows players to befriend (or annoy) a cast of quirky characters, creating a unique and personalized story.
The Tanuki Festival is just a month away, and the shrine is in disrepair. Follow Pon, a well meaning, if a bit lazy Tanuki with a part-time job at the Post Office, as he works to restore the shrine before summer ends. Deliver packages, make friends, and get the shrine ready for the big festival!
