Sayona Mining (ASX:SYA; OTCQB:SYAXF) and Piedmont Lithium (NASDAQ:PLL, ASX:PLL) are moving forward with their proposed merger, revealing the board nominees for the newly formed Elevra Lithium.
Subject to shareholder approval, the merger will create a leading lithium business in North America.
The Elevra Lithium Board will consist of eight members: four appointed by Sayona and four by Piedmont Lithium. Lucas Dow, the current CEO of Sayona, will lead the company as Managing Director and CEO. Dawne Hickton, an experienced executive, is nominated as Chair. Dow expressed excitement about the nominees, stating, “Their diverse expertise…will be instrumental in steering our newly combined entity towards a successful and sustainable future.”
The new board members also include Christina Alvord, Jeff Armstrong, James Brown, Jorge M. Beristain, Allan Buckler and Laurie Lefcourt.
The company expects an Extraordinary General Meeting (EGM) in the first half of 2025 for Sayona shareholders to approve the Transaction.
